Crisis Hotlines
RAINN (Rape and Incest National Network)
There are many available resources online that are easily accessible for those who feel traumatized or assaulted. Online hotlines, provided through anti-sexual assault organizations such as RAINN, are great resources that provide anonymous and safe help to victims and their families. The Online Hotline, specifically through RAINN, is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is free to the public.
All volunteers have completed state-mandated training and are properly trained in online support, and supervisors are always present in case of emergencies and to maintain quality control. Volunteers are not only able to act as safe confidants for victims, but are also able to provide information about recovery, receiving justice through court, and support plans for friends and family of the survivor.
Most importantly, online hotlines and direct contact hotlines via phone are designed to ensure the utmost safety and confidentiality for anyone who is seeking help.
If you are in need of assistance, please visit the official website here, or contact them by phone at 1-800-656-HOPE.
